In the year 2000 my brother, Ian, was diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer - malignant fibrous histiocytoma. Ian also suffered from a form of autism called Asperger's Syndrome, so dealing with cancer was especially difficult for him - he would often not accept he had cancer and at times refused treatment.

When Ian died in 2002 I promised myself I would do this cycling trip to raise money for the team at The Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. They took care of Ian during his last months, and I remember that they did such an excellent job - particularly as he could be quite difficult to handle at times!

I also wish to raise money for Cancer Research. My total target for both charities is £1000. You can tell me about your donation by email or you can pay online - in either case don't forget to email me your full name and address so that tax can be reclaimed.

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN GETTING ME TO £1000!!!!
